GARDINER — Celebration of the opening of the Cobbossee Stream fish package will be held online Feb. 14.
Joe McLean, P.E. at Acadia Civil Works, will present highlights of the plan, and publication of Fish Passage Options at Gardiner Paperboard and New Mills Dams will be available. Those checking in can learn about the environmental benefits and economic importance of a restored fishery on Cobbossee Stream and in the entire watershed.
Links on Upstream’s website and Facebook page will include McLean’s presentation, as well as a presentation from Steve Brooke, of Upstream, about the alewife, along with links to research on water quality and the restoration of alewives throughout Maine waters.
