Topsham Public Library hosts two special February events

TOPSHAM — The Topsham Public Library has two special programs coming up, one for photographers and another with a prize.
The first, Calling all Mainers,” is a Maine Bicentennial photography exhibit that will feature photos by Mainers of why they love Maine. Submissions are being accepted through Feb. 18.
Photos can range from the beauty of Maine’s landscape to unique Maine people, activities and experiences, that will help the library celebrate the state’s 200th birthday. Submission guidelines can be found on the library’s website, www.topshamlibrary.org.
The Friends of the Topsham Library are also hosting a Library Lovers’ Lottery. Anyone who joins the Friends by Feb. 22 will automatically be entered into the lottery (current members are automatically entered), which will be drawn Feb. 22. The prize is a framed pastel by Barbara Snapp, “Storm at Sunset.” The painting is on display near the front desk of the library along with brochures for joining the Friends group.
