Waterville Public Library offers free help to job seekers

WATERVILLE — There is free help at the Waterville Public Library for those looking for a job, both with a person who can help navigate resources, as well as a weekly job resource lab.
Those looking for help with their job search may scheduled an appointment to meet with Dana Hamilton, employment/resource navigator with Kennebec Valley Community Action Program. Hamilton is available to help job seekers navigate job search tools and other resources in the Waterville region that can aid finding a job or improving self-sufficiency.
Hamilton meets with job seekers, by appiontment, between 1 and 5 p.m. on Tuesdays in the library’s Lunder Conference Room, 1st floor. Call the Library at 207-680-2603 or stop by the Information Services Desk to schedule an appointment.
The library’s Job Search Lab is open from 10 a.m. to noon on Tuesdays for job seekers of all backgrounds. Those attending can get ideas to improve the job search, work on their esume/cover letter, and learn about education and training options availablein the area. No appointment is necessary. The lab is staffed by Augusta Career Center, Mid-Maine Regional Adult Community Education and New Ventures Maine.
