Maine mystery trio to ‘build a mystery’ at Topsham Public Library Nov. 6

TOPSHAM — Maine mystery writers Kate Flora, Maureen Milliken and Barbara Ross present “Mystery Making: How the Stories Get Made,” at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, at the Topsham Public Library.
With intense audience participation, the three writers will build a mystery novel on the fly, or at least make a plan for one. In the process, the audience will learn how writers make decisions when they create their books, as well as enjoy some laughs.
The three blog at Maine Crime Writers, mainecrimewriters.com, a daily blog with posts by published mystery writers from across Maine.
Milliken, a longtime journalist, is the author of the Bernie O’Dea mystery series, set in Franklin County. She’s currently working on a stand-alone, also set in Maine. Flora, the author of the Joe Burgess series and the Thea Kozak series, has also written true crime. Ross is the author of seven Maine Clambake Mysteries, as well as three novellas, and the first book in the new Jane Darrowfield series.
