Major’s Furniture and Appliance changes hands after 35 years

By George McGregor

The Major’s Furniture and Appliance has changed ownership.
“Under this new ownership nothing will change,” says new President David Shepard, who has been accountant/general manager at Major Appliance the last 15 years.
“It’s been a smooth transition, and Kenny (past owner) is now enjoying retirement and playing golf. The Major’s will still supply appliances, service, furniture and bedding,” he added. “We will still have great deals on our scratch and dent (up to 50 percent off) appliances and still be servicing all that we sell.”
Some new things Major’s will have between now and spring are an electronics department with TV’s and sound bars, grills and outdoor furniture, small appliances such as kitchen aid mixers and air fryers. “We are presently re-branding The Majors by focusing on our military personnel and veterans” says Shepard. “We will be offering an extreme new military discount of 20% on all products and service work across the board. We hope to establish ourselves as the place to come for the people who serve our country.”
