TOPSHAM — The Topsham Public Library has several programs, for all ages, to round out the month of August.
At 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 20, the movie “Terminator 2: Judgement Day,” will be shown. The movie stars Arnold Schwarzenegger and is rated R. The showing is free, and popcorn will be served.
At 6 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 22, the library’s adult services librarian, Emma J. Gibbon, will lead a sci-fi poetry workshop. The workshop is open to all, ages 14 and up. Registration required and it is limited to 10 participants. To register, call the library at 207-725-1727 or email emma@topshamlibrary.org with your name and phone number.

She is a member of the New England Horror Writers and the Science Fiction & Fantasy Poetry Association.
Legos at the Library, will be held from 1 to 3 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 24. The library has giant bins full of Legos for older kids, and Duplos available for younger kids upon request.
From 5:30 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 29, there will be a movie night and tin foil hat craft. The movie is M. Night Shyamalan’s “Signs,” a quintessential sci-fi thriller, and those attending may make a tin foil hat to wear as they watch (to keep safe from THEM!). The movie is rated PG-13.
Author Catherynne M. Valente will be at the library 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 31. Her books include “Space Opera,” “Deathless” and the Fairyland series. She is the winner of the Andre Norton, Tiptree, Sturgeon, Prix Imaginales, Eugie Foster Memorial, Mythopoeic, Rhysling, Lambda, Locus, Romantic Times’ Critics Choice and Hugo awards.
