Topsham library April 23 programs look at comics, environment

TOPSHAM — The Topsham Public Library is ofering two programs on April 23, one that looks at comics and graphic novels, another that provides an insider’s view on Maine environmental policy.

“Reading Between the Panels,” will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, From classic comic book collections to the latest in graphic novels, participants share their favorites, make recommendations and talk shop about the writing, the art and everything in between. Every fourth Tuesday from October to May.

“CREA: Protecting Maine’s Environment,” will also be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 23. Pete Didisheim, Natural Resources Council of Maine advocacy director, will provide an insider’s view on environmental policy being discussed in the Maine State House. He also will describe challenges we face from proposed rollbacks of environmental safeguards. Didisheim is one of Maine’s top experts on environmental policy, with more than two decades of experience at the Natural Resources Council of Maine.
