OXFORD — The Oxford Hills Chamber of Commerce will bestow its first “Legacy Award” to William Medd, M.D. upon his retirement.
The award is for Medd’s commitment to the communities of the Oxford hills and the growth of Western Maine Health and Stephens Memorial Hospital along with the integration of the hospital and services into MaineHealth.
Medd will retire at the end of March after nearly 45 years in practice. He and his wife Marge raised their family in the Oxford Hills area.
