NORWAY — Local author Patricia Probert Gott’s “Roller Rink Rules: Memories of Motion 26, Oxford, Maine,” a historic look at the Oxford Hills area, was recently published and she will appear locally Saturday, March 2, to sign copies.

It is the 20th book by Gott, who lives in Norway. The book is a memoir of Gott’s owning and managing the roller skating rink on Route 26 in Oxford for 24 years.
Gott will sign her book from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 2, at Crystal Spring Farm stand in Oxford.
Along with the narrative, the book includes a collection of 50 photos and newspaper clippings taken of employees, skaters and various events celebrated at the rink from March 1981 to August 2005, including birthday parties, Christmas with roller skating Santa Claue, Easter and the Roller Rabbit, all-night girls’ only slumber parties and the outside inline-skate park. It also includes the roller hockey teams that excelled and dominated the Maine league from 1984 to 1994.
