Brunswick Toastmasters Club to hold open house March 5

BRUNSWICK — The Brunswick Toastmasters Club will host an open house from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, in the Maine Technology Institute Community Room, 8 Venture Ave., Brunswick Landing.

Connor Horton joined Toastmaster’s nearly a year ago and now serves as the group’s vice president of public relations. “I was a bit nervous about how I would fit, having little to no public speaking experience,” he said.
“It became immediately clear, though, that while the Brunswick Toastmasters Club was full of amazing speakers, everyone there was working towards the same goal–to become the best possible public speaker and leader that they could be,” he said.
“Joining the Brunswick Toastmasters has given me the opportunity to practice my public speaking regularly in an atmosphere that feels safe and supportive. It really is a great program full of great people.”
Refreshments will be available at the open house, along with the opportunity to learn more about how the club can help people achieve their personal and professional goals. Members of the public are invited to attend. Brunswick Toastmasters provides a supportive and positive environment where members have the opportunity to develop their communication and leadership skills.
