WATERVILLE — The Harold Alfond Institute for Business Innovation at Thomas College will host “Social Media Breakfast Central Maine,” a business breakfast series designed to empower local business, nonprofit and entrepreneurial marketers.
Each of the business-breakfast presentations at Thomas College will spotlight 2019’s best practices in social-media marketing, as revealed by a speaker from one of Maine’s most iconic and marketing-savvy business organizations or nonprofits.
Series speakers in March and April, respectively, will be Sean MacCarthy, marketing director at Three Rivers White Water Rafting, Tuesday, March 19; and Kate Boehmer, content manager at Sugarloaf Mountain, Tuesday, April 23.
Each breakfast event will start at 7:30 a.m. in the Spann Student Commons, 180 West River Road. Advance registration and payment is recommended at smbcme.eventbrite.com. The admission fee includes breakfast and coffee, plus a 30-minute business-networking opportunity from 7:30 to 8 a.m. Each of the series speakers will:
* Present an inside look at their organization’s key marketing goals, audience and products/services.
* Take a deep dive into their organization’s specific social-media marketing strategy — including which online tools, networks and platforms they use with greatest success, along with clear, real-world advice regarding all the how’s and why’s of social-media- marketing best practices.
* Shed light on the best, most useful analytics and the most crucial performance indicators.
