BRUNSWICK — The Pejepscot Genealogical Society will hear about member David Blethen’s 45-year search for his grandmother’s ancestry at its Sunday, March 10 meeting.
The meeting will be at 2 p.m. in the Morrell Meeting Rroom at the Curtis Memorial Library, 23 Pleasant St.
Blethen’s search culminated in an emotional journey back to his family’s roots in the Brecon Beacons region of Wales.
The presentation tells how old-fashioned research perseverance and not-so-traditional use of technology combined to bring on a genealogical journey of a lifetime.
Blethen is an amateur genealogist and Maine native who grew up in Waldo County. There will be a brief social period with refreshments before and after the speaker. A business meeting will follow.
