WATERVILLE — A certified nursing assistant training orientation/informatio session will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Jan. 14, at Mount St. Joseph’s Resident & Rehabilitation, 7 Highwood St.
The training, free to income-eligible participants, is a collaboration with Skowhegan Adult & Community Education adn Western Maine Community Action, of Lewiston.
Initial interviews will be conducted by WMCA directly following the info session. The course, valued over $5,000, is free for income-eligible candidates. Training includes 90 classroom hours, 90 hours of clinicals and labs, 30 hours of academic and employability skills training and hands-on training at Mount St. Joseph’s.

Requirements and eligibility criteria are a Maine School Adminstrative District 54 application; WMCA pre-eligibility form; proof of age (at least 18 years old), high school diploma (or equivalency); two letters of reference; background checks; reading/math assessments; confidentiality release form; interviews and availability for all scheduled training.
