AUBURN — Schooner Estates Senior Living Community has been selected as a “Caring Star of 2019” for service excellence in senior living, the retirement home recently announced.
Schooner Estates earned five stars in consumer ratings and reviews from tenants and tenant family members on Caring.com.
Among the 128 Caring Star communities across the country, Schooner Estates was the only community in Maine to receive the honor, officials at the residence said.
“We already feel great about our service, but it feels amazing to hear how much our tenants and families recognize and appreciate the high quality services our staff provide every day,” said John Rice, director of operations. “Being recognized as a Caring Star of 2019 truly validates our heartfelt work to be the best place to live and work in Maine. Caring.com, which has millions of visitors, is a leading senior care resource for family caregivers seeking information and support as they care for aging parents, spouses and other loved ones.
The Caring Stars annual list, launched in January 2012 as the first of its kind, has become the go-to guide of the best senior living communities nationwide.
