Lisbon Credit Union tellers complete certified training

LISBON — Bonnie Veilleux and Brooklyn Allen, of the Lisbon Credit Union, recently participated in a three-part certified teller specialist training program provided through the Maine Credit Union League and received their completion certificates.

The training program, which all tellers from the Lisbon Credit Union will take, addresses financial skills, compliance updates and security concerns among many other important topics. The training consists of three separate classes, two of them with multiple days.
The intensive training covered many topics, among those included were: financial terminology, security, confidentially, check fraud, BSA and OFAC compliance, basics of lending, key components of professional service, basics of IRAs and share insurance, an in depth look at the credit bureau report, and review of the policies & procedures of Shared Branching. This information rich program is vital to ensure professional up-to-date service to members.
