BRUNSWICK — Historian Mike Bell will be the guest lecturer at the next Joshua L. Chamberlain Civil War Roundtable, 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, at Curtis Memorial Library Morrell Room, 23 Pleasant St.
His topic, “Men of Iron: The Story of the Iron Brigade” will tell the story of the brigade made up of regiments from the Midwest.
They had a well-deserved reputation with both armies in The Civil War, fighting with distinction and suffering tremendous losses in service to their country, nearly the entire war.
The lecture is free and open to the public.
