LEWISTON — Trisha DuBois, a wound resource nurse at Androscoggin Home Healthcare and Hospice, presented at Wild on Wounds, a national wound care conference held in September in Las Vegas.
Dubois led the topic of “Collaborative Partnerships to Drive Cost-Effective Outcomes for Wound Management in Home Health Care”_ _alongside representatives from Crawford Healthcare, a manufacturer of wound dressings, and Cardinal Health, a product distributor. They demonstrated opportunities to effectively work together in increasing competency and cost effectiveness in home health care.
A pictorial guide demonstrating the stages of wound dressing was introduced for patients with diabetic foot ulcers, venous leg ulcers and traumatic wound/hematoma.
DuBois has been invited to present again at their 2019 conference.
