RANGELEY — The winners of teh fifth annual Rangeley Oktoberfest Brat & Strudel Contest, held Sept. 27, have been announced.
The Red Onion was the judges’ choice for best bratwurst, and The Shed won the judges’ Best Strudel vote.
Sarge’s Sports Pub won the popular vote for best bratwurst, and Just Desserts won the popular vote for best strudel.
Local chefs prepared their best bratwurst and strudel. Judges were Jim Ferrara, Klara Haines and Skender Liedl, and about 100 attendees cast the popular vote.
The contest is sponsored by the Rangeley Lakes Chamber of Commerce and hosted by The Rangeley Inn and Tavern.
