AUGUSTA — Chelsea Moeller, director of philanthropy at MaineGeneral Health, has been included on the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy’s first-ever Forty Under 40 list, a program designed to recognize the future leaders within the health care philanthropy community.
“Chelsea has been a driving force in helping MaineGeneral Health meet the health care needs of this community,” said Nicole McSweeney, chief marketing and philanthropy officer. “Her energy, talent and compassion have successfully led us through fundraising campaigns to support the incredible work of all 4,400 MaineGeneral employees and bring excellent care and service to the Kennebec Valley now and for generations to come.”
AHP is honoring these 40 young professionals because they are shaping the future of the health care development industry. Collectively, they are changing the world — one campaign at a time, said the organization.
“Telling member stories and sharing best practices are at the core of what AHP is all about,” said Alice Ayres, AHP president and CEO. “I’m so thrilled that through the Forty Under 40 program, members have shared the stories of our up-and-coming leaders — those making significant impact on the industry so early in their careers.”
AHP cited a number of reasons Moeller was among the select group of young leaders recognized, including:
* She was responsible for raising more than $4.2 million for MaineGeneral’s recent capital campaign as the organization successfully exceeded its $10 million goal.
* Under her direction, the hospital’s internal Combined Campaigns have posted record-breaking results. * The hospital’s annual Walk for Hope has doubled its revenue under Moeller’s leadership.
Moeller will be recognized at the 2018 AHP Annual International Conference Oct. 17-20 in San Diego. Recognition events will include an invitation-only breakfast and Forty Under 40 reception on Thursday, Oct. 18, during the conference.
