Bring Change 2 Mind hosts ‘Weathering Shame’ book discussion in Bridgton June 25

BRIDGTON — A discussion of the book “Weathering Shame,” by Kevin Mannix and Linda Rota will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Monday, June 25, at the Bridgton Community Center, 15 Depot St.
The discussion is part of the Bring Change 2 Mind campaign, which is focused on encouraging conversation to build understanding and acceptance of mental health challenges and substance use disorders in the Lake Region.

Mannix and Linda Rota share their personal stories growing up exposed to mental illness and substance use disorders. They discuss how shame and stigma impacted their lives and how they embarked on their journey to wellness and recovery. The discussion is free and open to the public and childcare provided is provided.
