Ecologist Wuerthner to speak at Curtis Library May 30

BRUNSWICK — Ecologist, author and activist George Wuerthner will speak at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 30, at Curtis Memorial Library.

Wuerthner, has visited more than 400 designated Wilderness Areas in the U.S. his presentation will cover the early years of the eilderness movement — the creation of the national Wilderness Act and Wilderness System, threats to wilderness, both physical and philosophical, and why wildlands protection is the best way to protect biodiversity and ecosystems.
The library is 23 Pleasant St. and the presentation is free and open to the public.
