NORWAY — Maine mystery writer Paul Doiron will read from his yet-to-be published novel and four attendees will join him for dinner on June 2.
Doiron will give a reading at the Norway Memorial Library at 2 p.m. Friday, June 2. Tickets must be bought in advance, and are available at the library beginning May 7.
They are $5 and seating is limited. Doiron will read from “Stay Hidden,” the ninth book in his Mike Bowditch Maine game warden mystery series, which is due to be released July 3. Attendees will have the opportunity to preview the new book, in which a woman has been shot to death by a deer hunter on a remote Maine island. The case seems openand shut to Mike Bowditch, but as soon as he arrives mysteries begin piling up. In addition to the author’s reading, four people will have an opportunity to be seated with Doiron for dinner before the program. Raffle tickets for the four seats will also be available for purchase at the library beginning Monday, May 7, for $5 each. Names will be randomly selected through a drawing of the tickets on Wednesday, May 23, and the winners will be notified before 5 p.m. that day. All money raised will go to future library programs. The Friends of Norway Memorial Library are sponsoring of this event. Doiron’s books will be on sale courtesy of The Tribune, Norway’s independent bookstore.
