NORWAY –Norway Savings Bank’s Pocket Change for Patriots program raised $1,575 for Gray/New Gloucester Schools.
The money was raised through customers at the Gray branch of the bank, who donated their spare change.

The money will help engage students in science, technology, engineering and math and literacy programs, the bank said in a news release.
“We are always looking for new ways to engage our students,” said Dunn School Principal Geoffery K. Robbins. “Not only will we allocate the donation to STEM programs and materials, but also to Family Literacy nights and various other enrichment opportunities for students.”
“It’s so easy to give to the Pocket Change for Patriots program,” said Jay Kiel, Norway Savings Bank’s Gray branch manager. “Just bring in your loose change, use the counting machine and the fees you would normally pay go to the fund. Everyone in the community is invited to participate.”
Since opening in 2014, the Norway Savings Bank Gray branch has donated nearly $3,500 to School Administrative District 15.
All of the fees collected from the coin counting machine have been donated to the Gray/New Gloucester school district for various programs.
