SOUTH PARIS — W.J. Wheeler Insurance Agency was named the Oxford Hills Chamber of Commerce December Business of the Month.
W.J. Wheeler Insurance Agency, of South Paris and Bethel, has been serving the Oxford Hills area since 1864 and is a fifth generation run family business, according to a news release from the chamber.
The agency was nominated for its quality customer service and the nomination stated “what a great resource Michael (Newsom) and his team are to the community, especially when it comes to navigating the challenging health insurance waters.” It was voted Business of the Month by the chamber membership committee.
The chamber started the Business of the Month program to raise awareness and celebrate various member achievements. Each month, the chamber makes a charitable donation on behalf of the Business of the Month to the Feeding Oxford Hills initiative or Rightstart’s Christmas for Kids and Teens programs. The December donation of $250 was given to Rightstart for its Christmas programs.
