Belgrade mystery writer Milliken to speak at China Village library Feb. 18

CHINA — Belgrade mystery writer Maureen Milliken will be at the Albert Church Brown Memorial Library in China Village Sunday, Feb. 18, to talk about mystery writing, Maine, and other topics.
The talk is at 2 p.m. at the library, 37 Main St., China Village. The snow date is Sunday, Feb. 25, at the same time.

Milliken, who grew up in Augusta, is a long-time journalist who draws from her decades of experience in her Bernie O’Dea mystery novels, “Cold Hard News,” and “No News is Bad News,” which are set in Franklin County.

The third in the series is due out in 2018. Her books will be available for sale at the event, and she is happy to sign books whether bought at the event or not.
