GARDINER — The Randolph United Methodist Church will hold its bi-annual sale of summer clothes Saturday, Sept. 23, beginning at 10 a.m. in the basement of the Knights of Columbus hall, 109 Spring St. This is an opportunity to buy clothing for a quarter per piece.
After the sale, the shop will close to restock and open a week later with a fresh assortment of winter clothes, but the prices won’t be much higher. The Clothes Closet is run entirely by volunteers who take in donated clothing and clean, iron and tag it for sale to the public. Shoppers often find name-brand clothing there, sometimes with the original price tag still attached.
All profits go to local charities.
Vouchers are available for local families on limited incomes who may qualify for monthly allotments of free clothing. Check with your town office for voucher forms and qualifications.
