WATERVILLE — Waterville Public Library is hosting Take Apart Days for kids and teens 7 to 18 years old who like to take things apart and see how they work.
There are in four sessions, at 2 to 3:30 p.m. on Thursdays July 13, 20, 27 and Aug. 3. Those who attend all four have a chance at winning a circuit tester or precision screwdriver set.
At the sessions, participants will take the guts out of electronic devices and see what makes them go. In the final sessions, the parts will be used to make an art installation for the Teen Room.
The program is free and open to anyone aged 7 to 18. But space is limited, so registration is required.
The program is supported by a grant from the Ezra Jack Keats Foundation, named in honor of the children’s book author, who believed that public education is one of the greatest legacies of our country, one that benefits children from every walk of life.
