GARDINER — Capital City Improv will be performing at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, at Johnson Hall Performing Arts Center on Water Street.
Based in Augusta, Capital City Improv has been making people laugh for more than two years with their quick-witted, lightning-fast, short-form improv. Their 80-minute shows utilize the audience and their suggestions to create something wonderful, right on the spot!
Improv is a form of live theater where the plot, characters and all other aspects are made up on the spot, often by the audience. No two improv shows are ever the same, which keeps the performance fun and fresh for both the audience and the actors. Capital City Improv comedy troupe uses audience suggestions to create a completely customized, spontaneous and often absurd comedy show.
Doors open at 7 p.m. for this 18-or-older show. Tickets are $16 for adults and $14 for seniors. Tickets are available at Johnson Hall’s Box Office from 12 to 3 p.m. Monday through Wednesday and Friday or at 582-7144 or by visiting www.johnsonhall.org.
