WATERVILLE — New Dimensions Federal Credit Union in Waterville is one of 25 credit union partners in the U.S. to be designated part of the 2023 Elan Charitable Giving Program.
New Dimensions will receive a $15,000 donation for its Campaign for Ending Hunger from the program, which has donated more than $1 million since it began in 2022.
“Over the last year we’ve heard and seen firsthand how our charitable giving program is making an impact,” said John Owens, Elan credit card general manager, “These nonprofits are doing incredible work for community members and it’s an honor for us to be able to support them.”
New Dimensions is the only Maine credit union, and only one of four in New England, to partner with the 2023 Elan Charitable Giving Program.
In 2023, Elan plans to organize in-person volunteer events that will provide the opportunity for Elan team members to work alongside credit union partners in their communities.
The Maine Credit Union League Campaign for Ending Hunger in Maine raised $1,000,434 in 2022 and supported 260 organizations across Maine, including local food pantries, meal sites, and schools.
New Dimensions, with offices at 94 Silver St., also has branches at 316 Benton Ave., Winslow, and 245 Madison Ave., Skowhegan.
