Author Stephanie Queen to speak about writing process at Maine Romance Writers meeting June 17

LEWISTON — Romance writer Stephanie Queen will speak on “How to Optimize Your Writing Process” at the June meeting of the Maine Romance Writers Association. Non-members guests attending their first meeting are admitted free of charge, and new members, are welcome, no matter where they are on their writing journey.

The meeting begins at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 17, in Room 103 at Lewiston-Auburn College, 51 Westminster St. A brown-bag lunch and chat about writing is at noon, and Queen speaks at 1 p.m. Queen will discuss how writers can get started on their novel, as well as finish it, and what to do in between.

Topics will include the writing process and efficiency, including “completing quality novels in the shortest amount of time and with the least amount of difficulty.”

Queen, a resident of New Hampshire, has published 17 novels and novellas in the past five years. She won the International Digital Award for Best Contemporary Romance Novel for her novel “Playing the Game” in 2013. A longtime member of RWA, she has a masters degree in literature and creative writing from Harvard University.
