RANDOLPH – Teresa C. Hamlin School, 17 School St., Randolph, recently received a grant from Project Canopy, a project of the Maine Forest Service, to plant eight new trees on the school grounds. These trees, planted at the end of May, will provide shade and learning opportunities to students and the community at large.
The grant was procured by FoodCorps Service Member Jada Wensman, who serves at Healthy Communities of the Capital Area and works closely with the school on many food and garden-focused projects. Thanks to Fedco Trees for the apple trees, Wingate Landscaping for the maple trees, and to the district grounds crew for all their hard work to make the plantings successful. (Submitted photo)
