BATH — The first in a planned continuing series of Bath Climate Conversations will take place from 5:30 to 7:30p. Tuesday, Oct. 4, at Patten Free Library, 33 Summer St. and on Zoom.

The topic will be “Climate Conversations: Locals Leading On Climate Change.” It’s sponsored by the Bath Climate Action Commission, in partnership with the Kennebec Estuary Land Trust and the library.
The forum will focus on the built environment, including Bath’s public facilities, homes, roads, transportation, and people. The evening will begin with a half-hour public forum from community leaders about Bath’s climate action planning efforts, followed by a community discussion that seeks to engage citizens and hear their thoughts about Climate Change and their community.
After the forum, Taco the Town Food Truck will be in Library Park. Participants are invited to stay for dinner and an informal opportunity to share what climate change means on a local level.
The local leader lineup is City Manager Marc Meyers; Rod Melanson, bath director of sustainability; Deb Keller, Bath Housing; Ruth Indrick, Kennebec Estuary Land Trust; Tim Blair, Bath Transportation and Bike Pedestrian Committees.
