Pejepscot History Center Santa Day is Dec. 4 in Brunswick

Nov. 152021

BRUNSWICK — Pejepscot History Center is bringing back its outdoor version of its 16-year free Santa Day tradition. Bowdoin College a capella group, Miscellania, will sing carols while children line up to visit with Santa.
Santa Day is free and open to the public, and takes place form 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in front of PHC headquarters at 159-161 Park Row. There will be a noon-12:30 p.m. lunch break for Santa and his helper.
PHC Executive Director Larissa Vigue Picard said, “Holding the event outside again this year not only is prudent because of the ongoing pandemic—it’s also a lot of fun! We are especially excited to have Miscellania back for caroling. Their melodious voices really put everyone in a holiday spirit.”
Falmouth-based Vagabond Coffee Truck will again be on hand with hot and cold drinks. Brunswick businesses are also donating cookies and candy canes, and each child will be given a goody bag to take home.
Children are encouraged to bring notes for Santa, but paper scrolls will be available to write notes on-site. A special delivery system will transport the notes from the children to Santa’s helper.
Masks are not required outside the building, except for those who are unvaccinated.
Pejepscot History Center will offer a 25% membership discount on Santa Day. The History Center’s current exhibition, “Taking Wing: A Century of Flight in Brunswick-Topsham” and the museum shop will be open. Visitors inside are limited to 10 at a time and must be masked.
