WINDHAM – Windham residents are reminded that the town’s close to 500 acres of parks and preserves are available for year-round use, even when the weather turns cold.
The Parks and Recreation Department grooms cross-country ski trails at 308-acre Lowell Preserve, and has snowshoes to lend, free to use, in men’s, women’s and children’s sizes.
Overall, the Parks and Recreation Department works to maintain each of the unique parks, trails and preserves, which offer a wide variety of activities. Swimming, paddling, fishing, hiking, mountain biking, cross-country skiing, snow-shoeing, skateboarding and more are available.
