Mystery writer Cost is at Rangeley Public Library Aug. 4

RANGELEY — Maine author Matt Cost, author of “Mainely Power” will speak at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 4, at the Rangeley Public Library, 7 Lake St.
Cost’s book has been chosen as Maine Humanities Council’s 2021 fiction book of the year and is the first book in the Goff Langdon Mainely Mystery series. Set at a nuclear power plant in the Brunswick area, “Mainely Power” features Langdon, a laid back slacker detective who also owns a mystery book store named after his trusted companion, Coffee Dog.
Cost owned a mystery bookstore, a video store, and a gym before spending 10 years as a junior high school teacher.
