LIVERMORE FALLS — May is get ready for summer reading month at Treat Memorial Library, with lots of recommendations and new books to enjoy as the weather warms up.
New arrivals at Treat Memorial Library include the picture book “A New Day,” by Brad Meltzer, the thriller “Every Last Fear,” by Alex Finlay, and the young adult fantasy “Rule of Wolves,” by Leigh Bardugo.
Every Thursday in May, library staff will recommend a beach read on Facebook to help readers get some ideas.
For more recommendations, tune in at noon Saturday, May 8 and May 22 for Bonkers for Books on the library’s Facebook page, where staff shares their favorite books.
The library’s new Book Club series, Books About Books, continues this month, with “The Book that Matters Most,” by Ann Hood. The discussion will take place over Zoom at 3 p.m. Thursday, May 13. Contact staff for a copy of the book nad the Zoom link.
Those missing travel may take a journey in their imagination with the Armchair Traveler Game on Facebook at 1 p.m. every Tuesday. The library provides the continent, date, compass direction and weather. The rest of the journey is yours to decide.
