A survey that sees to capture the thoughts, concerns and ideas of Maine businesses is available online, sponsored by the Mid-Maine Chamber of Commerce and Maine State Chamber, in partnership with the Maine Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives and the Maine Tourism Association.
Survey findings will be essential to policy development and identifying priorities for state leaders, Maine’s congressional delegation, policymakers and incoming legislators as they prepare to convene in January, according to the organizations behind the survey.
Input will help provide a full picture of and critical insights into where Maine businesses stand nine months into the pandemic, and key perspectives on what is needed to help Maine businesses and our state’s economy successfully recover, they said.
The survey will close on Wednesday, Dec. 23. Organizers expect more than 1,000 businesses from all parts of the state and all Maine economic sectors to participate. There are 36 questions in total, a handful of which allow for open-ended responses.
Each responder may only participate once. It takes between 22 and 28 minutes to complete.
Topic areas include:
* Business needs (workforce, revenue, tax reimbursement)
* Changes businesses made due to COVID-19
* The state’s communication of COVID-19 guidelines
* Economic effects of COVID-19
* Policy priorities and business outlook as we head into 2021.
