SKOWHEGAN — The first-ever Search for Spruce the chamber Moose will take place in downtown Skowhegan from Nov. 30 through Dec. 31.
The Skowhegan Chamber of Commerce will visit a participating member business every morning, except Christmas, and place Spruce, the chamber Moose, somewhere inside the business and leave it there for the day. After Spruce is placed, his picture will be posted to the Chamber’s Facebook page asking “Where am I?”
Throughout the day, the chamber will post clues guiding followers to where Spruce can be found. When customers visit the business, if they can find Spruce, they get a small discount of the business owner’s choice. B
usinesses that would like to have Spruce visit should contact the chamber. The event is a way to encourage shoppers to shop local during the holiday season.
