GARDINER — The Clothes Closet is opening up again.
After closing for five months because of COVID-19, the shop, which is in the basement of the Knights of Columbus building on Spring Street, will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Tuesday and Saturday, starting Sept. 1.
The shop will permit only three customers to enter at one time. All customers must wear a face masks and sanitize their hands upon entering. The changing room and bathroom rooms will not be open.
Once again customers will find good clean used clothing at prices like: lady’s tops and men’s shirts for $2, pants for $3 and most children’s clothes for $1. Shoes will sell for $1 a pair. Free clothes are available to low-income families.
The staff is made up entirely of volunteers, and although The Clothes Closet is sponsored by the United Methodist Church of Randolph, all of the profits are given to local food banks and other local charities.
Feel free to drop off your own clean used clothes on the days the shop is open. Volunteers are always welcome.
