NAPLES — White Mountain Orthodontics is approaching its third anniversary, as Dr. Burton Rankie continues to serve patients in the Maine Lakes Region and the Mount Washington Valley, from Naples, Windham, Fryeburg, Lovell, Bridgton, Harrison, Raymond, Casco, and Sebago, as well as Conway and North Conway, N.H.
Rankie returned home to practice in Maine in 2012 and opened his office, White Mountain Orthodontics in Naples shortly thereafter, celebrating the second anniversary of the practice last summer. Rankie transformed a classic white farmhouse into a state-of-of-the-art orthodontic practice while managing to preserve the warm, welcoming New England feel of a farmhouse.
While many orthodontic practices focus on volume, Rankie’s vision when he created his own practice was to make sure his patients do not feel like a number or feel rushed. He always takes time with each and every patient and their family to discuss and answer any questions they may have about his or her treatment at every visit. You may often hear him asking about trail conditions for hiking or biking. Or you may see him and his beloved golden retriever Abbi out hiking in a snowstorm, his favorite time to cross-country ski.
Many of the Lakes Region’s local dentists and their families are patients at White Mountain Orthodontics. His orthodontic colleagues seek him out for his guidance and help for complicated or extreme orthodontic cases, which shows a level of trust and confidence not often seen.
