LISBON — A Lisbon High School graduate will be one of the featured entrepreneurs Sunday, April 14, at 10 p.m. on a new episode of “Shark Tank” — featuring a panel of investors listening to sales pitches.
Eric Roy grew up in Lisbon and graduated from high school in 2000. While a student there, he played baseball, football and basketball while also working summers at the Lisbon Recreation Department.
Roy is the founder and owner of Hydroviv, a drinking water filtration company. Holding an undergraduate degree in chemistry from Colby College and doctorate in marine science from the University of Maine, Roy’s area of expertise is technology and advanced materials. He has been building Hydroviv for several years, primarily via the Internet.
Hydroviv is a specialty water filtration company that customizes water filters to fit the drinking water needs of the end user based on the needs of the end user — no matter where in the U.S. that customer is located.
