Ashley Bryan film to be shown at Carrabassett Valley Library Jan. 18

CARRABASSETT VALLEY — The award-winning film “I Know a Man … Ashley Bryan,” will be shown at the Carrabassett Valley Public Library on Friday, Jan. 18.
The film will be shown at 4:30 p.m. at the library, at 3209 Carrabassett Drive.

Presenting the film to discuss Ashley Bryan’s life and art will be film director Richard Kane, director of the Maine Masters series of films on exceptional Maine artists.

Although Bryan is the author of more than 50 children’s books, many winning of Coretta Scott King, Newbery and other awards, his audiences are both young and old. He is an extraordinary artist and humanitarian whose life work is all about joy, love, inclusivity and diversity, the library said in a news release.
