LISBON – Lisbon Community Federal Credit Union recently held a Holiday Card Artwork contest for children 12 and under, for a chance to win $50 and to have their artwork featured on the credit union’s 2018 holiday greeting cards.
The credit union recently announced the winners.
The artwork received from 22 children was displayed at the main office in the lobby, with voting ballots available for everyone who visited. More than 100 votes were tallied. The kids worked hard on their designs and all contestants received many votes, credit union officials said.
Matthew Shorey, the winner, came in with his mother and brother to pick up his prize. He is saving the money to use on a cross-country trip with his family this spring.
Second place went to Timothy Danse Jr., 8, of Lewiston, and third place was a tie between Abby Ward, 9, of Lisbon Falls, and Grace Gurney, 10, of Westbrook. Runners-up each received $20 Monty Moose bucks.
