Gardiner student serves as honorary page

AUGUSTA – Gardiner Regional Middle School student Hayden Alberti served as an honorary page in the Maine Senate on Feb. 14 as the guest of Sen. Shenna Bellows, D- Manchester.

Honorary pages get to interact with elected officials, see what it is like to work on the floor of the Senate and be part of a legislative session, performing such duties as delivering messages to senators and distributing amendments and supplements in the chamber, according to a news release from Maine Senate Democrats. Students from third grade through high school are eligible to take part and can find out more by contacting their state senator.
