Orion Performing Arts Center Maine new projector installed after fundraising

Oct. 192018

TOPSHAM — A new ceiling project has been installed at Orion Performing Arts Center, the Maine School Administrative District 75’s theater at Mt. Ararat Middle School.
The project was makde possible by a grant from the Alfred M. Senter Fund, and a recent donation from Norway Savings Bank, which helped the effort reach its goal.

The Orion Advisory Committee also conducted a dinner at the 99 Restaurant, a raffle, concession sales and an ice cream scooping night at Gelato Fiasco. The new projector, which projects a large and clear picture onto the back wall above anything taking place onstage, was installed over the summer.
The 900-seat theater, which has its own lobby, is fully accessible and hosts both school and community events and performances year-round, as well as being available for rental.
