PAID POLITICAL AD: People need, deserve health care

Oct. 42018

Since April, I have been knocking on doors and talking with my friends and neighbors in Farmingdale and Gardiner. I think it is the best way to find out about peoples’ hopes, dreams and concerns. In Augusta, it is my hope to address their concerns and to make those hopes and dreams achievable.

By far, the number one concern I hear about is health care; our system is broken. Health care is a human right, not a privilege, and too many people do not have access to health care. More than 70,000 people in our state are going without adequate health care, despite Maine voters saying they support expanded access to health care.
Our governor could have respected the will of voters and helped Mainers with the simple stroke of a pen. He did not. We can do better. We must do better. I will fight in Augusta for access to health care. I will fight to do better.
