RANGELEY — Poet Sarah Carlson will share from her book of poetry at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19, at the Rangeley Public Library.
Carlson will read from “The Radiance of Change,” inspired by the western foothills, where she lives and has had the opportunity to make connections amid the splendor of the rivers, lakes and mountains.
She began writing and combining her poetry with pictures of her experiences in the natural world as part of healing from the sudden loss of her husband Barry.
According to teacher and performer Karen Montanaro, “Reading Sarah’s poetry is a healing experience.” Author Doug Dunlap calls Carlson’s verse “forthright and tender,” saying “these brave and honest poems engage loss and sorrow head on.”
