GARDINER — Johnson Hall Performing Arts Center will once again hold its Summer Spark Theater Day Camps for Young People throughout the months of July and August.
Summer Spark gives children the opportunity to learn the basics to advance techniques in a wide variety of theatrical skills with kids their own age, including character and voice work, improvisation, theater games and creative movement.
Three levels of Spark camp will be offered:
Beginner’s Camp — Session 1 – July 9 through 13; session 2, July 16 through 20;
Creation Lab — Session 1, July 23 through July 27; session 2, July 30 through Aug. 10
Advanced Workshop — Session 1, Aug. 6 through 10; session 2, Aug. 13 through 17
Space is limited to 20 students per session; interested families should call Johnson Hall at 207-582-7144 to register to ensure space in the session of their choice. Scholarships are available. The camp hours run from 9 a.m to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, with a performance for family at 3 p.m. the final day of camp.
