Read ME events scheduled for Lithgow Public Library in July, August

AUGUSTA — Lithgow Public Library will celebrate Read ME with Maine-themed events this summer.
Read ME is a statewide program presented in partnership between the Maine Humanities Council and the Maine State Library.

It gets Maine’s adults all reading the same books by Maine authors and recommended by a Maine author.
This summer, Paul Doiron chose CB Anderson’s “River Talk” and Susan Hand Shetterly’s “Settled in the Wild: Notes from the Edge of Town.”
Copies of the featured books are available to be borrowed from the librar, 45 Winthrop St.

July 11 — 6:30 p.m, book discussion group, River Talk”
July 16 — 6 p.m., potluck dinner with Capital Area New Mainers
July 25 — 6:30 p.m., author event, CB Anderson Aug. 8 — 6:30 p.m., book discussion group, “Settled in the Wild”
Aug. 13 — 6:30 p.m., “Captain Billy: 50 Ways to Be a Mainer”
