Friends of Norway Memorial Library used book sale is July 12-14

NORWAY — The Friends of Norway Memorial Library annual used book sale will begin on Thursday, July 12.
The three-day dale will be 2 to 6 p.m. the first day, as well as Friday, July 13,a and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, July 14 at the Norway Grange Hall, 15 Whitman St.

The book sale serves is a fundraiser for the Friends of the Library. Money raised goes toward the organization’s support of Norway Memorial Library’s collection of audio and video materials, programs and services.
Shoppers will find fiction and nonfiction for all ages including cookbooks, Maine and New England, art, craft, gardening, travel, health and wellness, history, politics, biography, nature and more. The sale is held inside the hall and outside on the side yard. The inside sale includes quality books that are in very good condition organized by topic. Inside books sell for $1 and up; outside is a yard sale with books priced at 50 cents for hardcovers and 25 cents for paperbacks. For the second year, there also will be a silent auction with special collection items, including signed books by well-known Maine authors.
Saturday, beginning at noon and until 3 p.m., outside books are sold at the discounted price of $1 per plastic, grocery-sized bag, provided at the sale. During this time, shoppers are welcome to help clear out the yard.
